Hi! My name is Tara and I love cooking and eating food. My relationship with food has not always been this comfortable, though. In fact, I used to eat only around 5 or 6 foods, and hated eating. I didn’t start to try new foods until I was around 18 years old, but when I did, it was through exploring, cooking and creating new recipes on my terms.
Now, food is a huge part of my life. I want to share the food I have created that has made me happy, and will hopefully make you happy too.
My love for cooking has landed me with a wealth of recipes that I keep in my head and have done for years, so this blog is long overdue. I think one of the reasons it has taken me so long to write is because I don’t tend to measure or time anything; I just sort of know what it should be somehow. The quantities and times listed in these posts are accurate to the best of my ability, but please go ahead be flexible if you feel it would better fit the recipe and your taste!
I try to make ethical decisions when it comes to food. To me, this means having a predominantly vegetable-based diet, considering where I am shopping, trying to buy mainly seasonal, and being conscious of the packaging.
